Proclaim Professional Care: Review and Wash Day Routine

I am not a product junkie, therefore I don’t typically go out and buy products for my hair. I normally use the Aussie Mega Moist shampoo and conditioner and pre-poo my hair with coconut oil the night before. However, I have been binge watching wash day routines and figured it was maybe time to change mine up. I went to Sally’s (don’t judge me) and bought the products I saw from Proclaim Professional Care. I have heard great things about black castor oil and figured why not buy some and buy the shampoo and conditioner that’s made with it. Now I am not sure if it is cruelty free, however it is vegan and does not have sulfates, parabens, or alcohol in it.

First I pre-pooed my hair with the black castor oil. This oil is thick and yet my hair still soaked it up. I parted my hair into four sections then finger parted those sections. I generously lathered on the castor oil then put my hair into plats. I let it set for about an hour while I ate breakfast them cleaned. There isn’t really a smell to it, it’s a hint of something but not overwhelming.

Next, I shampooed my hair and I must say, this shampoo not only has a great smell, it has a great lather to it. I focus mainly on my scalp and roots when I shampoo, and yes I leave the braided plats in my hair. My hair will soak up the shampoo regardless. This allows me to really get the dirt out which is mainly at the roots.

Last, I use the conditioner. I condition each plat and then unbraid it. I really work it in there and as I am doing that, I gently massage my scalp which feels so damn good. This allows the blood to flow in your follicles and scalp.

I have to say that I am now a fan of this line and I highly recommend them. If there are any that you use that I should try, let me know in the comments.
